Day 01

..of the new Blog ;)

Well, I worked on the layout a bit...the headpicture IS NOT finished, there are some things I want to improve...but for now it's ok, I guess.

So, let's start blogging, shall we?

It's funny, because I didn't plan to write something...well, I wanted to, but when I checked the time I thought that it's too late and that I'm not in the mood for wirting anymore - so I switched on the TV and realized that I'm not used to austrian/german TV anymore...all this dubbing! In Sweden I've got so used to watching everything in the original language...and hearing Homer Simpson speaking German feels weird after so many months...so I switched the TV off and decided to blogg.
Dubbing is bad...so many jokes get lost, when you have to translate something. I realized that, when I was in Sweden. I was so used to watching all the series and movies in german, except on DVD - but watching all the "daily shows" like The Simpsons in english felt so much better. The jokes seemed to be funnier, the voices better - and you improve your english ;) It's weird that german TV dubbs everything...of course, it's understandable but I wonder what would happen, if a TV station decided to show everything in the original language - with subtitles, of course...
Anyway, the positive aspects of dubbing are the voices. I admit, I am a huge fan of Daniela Hoffman - Julia Robert's german voice ;) Her voice is so much warmer and more sympathetic than Julias voice ;) And well, I guess I don't have to mention all the famous voices, like Bruce Willis' or Sarah Jessica Parker's germans voice ;)

Anyway, tomorrow I will go to Innsbruck to meet Hong (a chinese friend from Karlstad) and Elisabeth (a fellow-Austrian who was also in Karlstad) - I'm really looking forward to that, but I hope the weather will be nice... I'm going to meet Hong in Innsbruck, than we have breakfast/coffee with a friend (who I haven't met in ages...so I'm really excited about that). Afterwards we will meet Elisabeth and in the evening we go to the Berg Isel ski jump to watch the football match Sweden vs. Russia...and of course we support Sweden :P

This means - no posting tomorrow, but hopefully some nice pics in the next post ;)
So, that's it so far...I will end this post with a video of Ólafur Arnalds, since a good "online-friend" was at his concert yesterday and this got me in the mood to dug out his cd and listen to it...enjoy this beautiful piece of art :)
